(Senior) Sales Manager Infant Nutrition Ingredients

Remote with a preference for France, Netherlands, Spain, Germany or Austria. Other locations can be discussed.

About the role

You will work in a small team of seven (including this position) Sales Managers and report directly to the Head of Sales & Marketing. As (Senior) Sales Manager, you will be responsible for sales to infant nutrition industry. The goal is to professionally manage and support existing customers and explore new markets opportunities. You should quickly respond to customer needs and develop the best solutions together with the local Austrian colleagues.

Main Tasks and responsibilities

  • Develop and evolve the local business plan. Execute sales activities in line with plan
  • Achieve budgeted sales and profitability objectives
  • Maintain, build and deepen relationships with existing customer base, delivering on current contract requirements, as well as increasing share of wallet
  • Explore new market and customer opportunities
  • Understand customer supply chain with specific relevance to dairy ingredients and collaborate with customer base on technical solutions to drive their business

About you

We are looking for someone with a study in business administration or comparable educational background, preferably in food technology with a commercial focus. You already have several years of professional experience and proven success in B2B sales. It is a benefit if this is in a dairy-based ingredients in the international infant nutrition or food sector.

In addition, it would be great if you:

  • Technical knowledge of infant formula and/or dairy ingredients
  • Proven track record of commercial sales growth, as a Country, Sales, or Key Account Manager
  • Customer- Project Management and Key Account Planning
  • Ability to work independently, especially if working remotely away from our Austrian plant
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to travel approx. 70%
  • Languages: Fluent in English and German is a plus. Any other EU language is a benefit.
