About the team
The local quality organization is responsible for all quality-related topics in plant Darmstadt and critical to the success of the production site and the overall success of the Döhler Group. In our plant in Darmstadt, we are producing compounds, flavors and emulsions for our customers in the beverage industry.
The quality organization has 50 team members, who are divided into 4 teams (quality control raw materials, quality control finished goods, quality control microbiology, and quality management). The position of Head of Quality (m/f/d) reports directly to the Head of Plant and is part of the plant management team.
About the role
The Head of Quality will be responsible for the quality organization in our plant in Darmstadt.
- Develop quality standards and monitor their compliance (audits)
- Ensure an optimal quality system and develop it according to the required standards
- Optimize quality processes and identify standardization potentials for early and sustainable error prevention
- You conduct customer and certification audits for the Darmstadt plant and implement the measures derived to improve quality
- Decide on the release and further use of all raw materials, semi-finished and finished goods
- Develop the processes in quality control and in the laboratory
- Increase customer satisfaction, you ensure the optimal processing of customer complaints
- Monitor compliance with internal and legal requirements and guidelines with regard to quality and food safety (HACCP)
- Plan the human, material and financial resources for your area of responsibility
Requirements for the Head of Quality
- Completed an engineering or master’s degree, ideally in the field of Food Technology & Science, Food Quality & Safety, Microbiology, (Food) Chemistry or comparable
- Several years of experience in a comparable position in a global, manufacturing industrial company (food and beverage, pharma, chemical or cosmetic industries
- Many years of experience in personnel management
- Very good process and product knowledge as well as strong analytical skills
- Precision and conscientiousness working style
- Experienced in working with MS Office, ideally also have SAP knowledge.
- Fluent German and English skills (working language in Plant Darmstadt is German)
